♕ || Ciel is actually a smart business man. For as lawless as he can be in many other aspects of his life, Ciel is clean cut with his business deals, although he isn’t afraid to stoop to lower measures to hurt someone who double crosses him (as we saw with the Italian person in episode 1).
But since Funtom is something that is not directly connected to his position as Guard Dog, it’s important to keep that reputation as clean as possible in order to aide along keeping the business strong. So Ciel won’t break laws regarding production, manufacturing, employment, any of that, and if there is a transgression or potential one somewhere he’ll quickly work to correct it.
Though Funtom isn’t detrimental to his contract, it’s still part of his reputation he has to upkeep for the sake of being a Phantomhive while he’s still alive, so therefore his interest is vested enough to ‘behave’ with the business, so to speak.
